What we store

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store:

• Your email address
• The states or ZIP code you tell us you’re interested in, if you give us any
• Timestamps for when you subscribed, confirmed and unsubscribed
• A log of the newsletters we’ve sent to your address, so we can tell you what you already received

If you submit a festival or a correction, we store what you enter in that form. We also keep a hashed (not plain) version of the submitting IP address on submissions and newsletter sign-ups, used only to limit abuse and spam - we cannot reverse it back to your address.

We never sell or share this information, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Cookies and analytics

Browsing the directory itself doesn’t require an account and doesn’t set a tracking cookie.

Deleting your data

Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately and removes your state and ZIP preferences. To have your email address and sending history deleted outright, email us and say so.
